Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has reiterated the commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari to stamp out insurgency in the country.

Onyeama stated this at the Palace of Igwe of Orji River Urban, Oliver Okefi, in Orji River Local Government Area of Enugu State during All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally in the area on Sunday.

“We want to assure you that President Buhari is working round the clock to flush out Boko Haram from this country and ensure that peace is restored in our nation,” he said.

Onyeama attributed poverty ravaging the country to high rate of corruption, assuring Buhari will not leave any stone unturned in fishing out all corrupt politicians.

He said the present administration has been able to restore Nigeria’s dignity, thereby attracting foreign investors to the country.

“Before President Buhari came to office, foreign investors relocated from Nigeria due to corruption and other social vices. But with the efforts of Buhari in stamping out corruption in the country, they are gradually coming back,” he said.

He, therefore, enjoined the traditional rulers to educate the people on the need to vote for corruption-free leaders capable of developing the country.

In his remarks, Igwe Okefi pray to God to give victory to a God-fearing leader that will bring about transformation in the country.
