Group accuses APC governors of working against Muhammadu Buhari, Adams Oshiomhole

The Federation of Buhari Support Groups, an amalgam of different women and youth groups clamouring for the re-election of President Mohammadu Buhari has raised the alarm that the President may not garner up to 10 per cent of the votes in Ondo State in 2019 general election.

Their fear is hinged on alleged gang up against Buhari, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the All Progressives Party (APC) and Bola Ahmed Tinubu, national leader of the party, allegedly spearheaded by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State and others to undermine the party ahead of 2019.

Addressing journalists at the APC national secretariat Tuesday in Abuja, the group claimed the governor was de-marketing the APC in the state.

Ibrahim Sikiru, who spoke to newsmen, alleged that Akeredolu was leading a group of conservative governors in the APC to oppose the direct primary adopted by the party’s National Working Committee and possibly pass a vote of no confidence on the APC national chairman.
