2023: Lagos forum backs Asiwaju Tinubu for Presidency

National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, also known as the “Lion of Bourdillon” appears set to roar into action as the race for the 2023 presidential ticket of the ruling party in the country begins in earnest.

A political group, the Forum of Political Parties in Lagos State, has expressed support for the 2023 presidential aspiration of the former governor of the state and the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement on Saturday, a copy which was made available to newsmen, the group described Tinubu as the most qualified for the nation’s number one position, assuring him of their support for the next eight years.

The group, in the statement signed by Hon. Kola Ajayi, its Coordinator, while officially welcoming the APC Leader back from his recent medical trip abroad, maintained that his return had naturally ignited political activities in the state, an evidence of his political sagacity and relevance come 2023.

It expressed optimism that Tinubu would still be around for a long time to come, even after his two terms of eight years in Aso Rock as the nation’s president of Nigeria.

Enumerating Tinubu’s landmark achievements, the forum stated that the former governor pioneered the BRT buses project, which had helped commuters to enjoy their ride in the state.

It also recalled the judiciary reforms in the state, which had placed the state above others in that sector, even as he also overhauled the health sector.

The group stressed that the reform in the health sector brought about the building of five general hospitals in the state and improved remuneration for healthcare workers, which he said had been the best in the country.
