The Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia South Senatorial Zone, Marc Wabara, has urged Abia electorate to reject bad leadership and welcome change in 2019.
The former Managing Director of Hallmark Bank, who presented his campaign manifestoes to Abia electorate along with the opening of his campaign office, said poor representation and bad governance have placed the state in a terrible situation.
While urging members of the campaign organization to do their work without fear of any man except God as only that will help ensure that change will not elude Abia in 2019, Wabara lamented the sufferings of workers and pensioners in the state, urging those in power to imbibe the fear of God and pay those who work for the state their salaries and pension without delay.
“I assure you that APC will make sure that Abia will record zero salary arrears. I read about the Paris Refund. I read how much was given to each state.
“What I saw in that of Abia State was 14 billion naira. For Christ’s sake why would people working at the ABSUTH be owed for 10 months? Why would Abia Poly workers be owed for 11 months? What about the pensioners? Their own case is even more pathetic. Please people should have the fear of God. This is painful.
“We didn’t enter politics to become candidates. We also didn’t enter for selfish reasons. If we realise that power comes from God and the voices and wishes of the people represent what God will want us to do for them, then we will realise that we are going into positions to serve our people,” he said.
