Zamfara CP visits police secondary school, gives security tips

The Commissioner of police in Zamfara State, Mr Ayuba Elkanah, on Friday visited some tertiary institutions in Gusau, the state capital, as part of the state police command’s measures to provide security in schools across the state.

The Commissioner, Zamfara State Police Command, Ayuba N. Elkanah, has visited the Police Secondary School in Gusau in an effort to ensure the safety and security of students.

The visit by the Commissioner of Police on Wednesday was to review the existing security arrangements of the school.

It was also to beef up adequate security that will safeguard the staff and students against any security threat by criminal elements.

The Commissioner of Police was warmly received by the Commandant of the School, SP Umar Mohammed.

Umar led Elkanah and his entourage around the school to assess the premises.

The CP equally interacted with the students and encouraged them to concentrate on their studies so that they can achieve the purpose of their being to the school.

He further called on them to be security conscious and avoid illegal movement.

On his part, the Commandant of the School thanks the CP for the visit and promised to redouble their commitment to ensuring the school remains secured and conducive for learning.
