A former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has revealed that he lectured the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe, on how to live in prison, in case he gets prosecuted over his pro-Biafra activism.
He revealed on Wednesday in a post on his Facebook page, reminiscing by sharing a throwback photo of himself having a discussion with Abaribe on the floor of the Upper Chamber.
He further stated that he used his years of experience in Kiri Kiri, Port Harcourt, and Aba Prisons, to inform his friend, Abaribe.
According to Sani, Abaribe also tried to convert him into believing in the Biafra ideology.
He wrote: “My good friend Senator Abaribe was trying to convert my citizenship to Biafra while I used to give him lectures on how to live in prison when they come for him, using my years of experience in Kiri Kiri, Port Harcourt, and Aba Prisons in the 90s.”
Recall that on June 22, 2018, Abaribe was arrested by the Department of State Security Services (DSS) at his barbershop located at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, for his alleged links with the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) being one of the sureties to the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, he was taken to his house for a search and was later taken to the DSS detention in Abuja. He was released the next Tuesday, 26 June 2018 on bail.
