President Buhari denies pampering bandits

The Boko Haram insurgency in Northern Nigeria is largely fuelled by youth unemployment and poverty, Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has said.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday faulted the insinuations in some quarters that he was pampering bandits and terrorists while dealing with agitators ruthlessly.

Buhari stated this while responding to a question during an exclusive interview with NTA.

While describing the accusation as unfair, the President said he was also treating bandits and insurgents in the “language they understand.”
