Pastor Adeboye: God can turn Nigeria’s economic tide

Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God said today that the rampaging coronavirus will soon recede.

The General Overseer Worldwide of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, on Sunday, declared that Nigeria has a myriad of problems, especially pertaining to the economy.

Adeboye made this assertion in his monthly first Sunday telecast monitored by our correspondent, which had in attendance the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Preaching on the topic ‘Divine Involvement’ taken from Second Chronicles chapter 20 verses 20-30, the revered cleric noted that the Divine Involvement meant God having a hand in our situation.

He said that God could turn a failure into an overnight success, adding that when God is involved, He would send the much-needed help, lamenting the borrowings done by the current administration.

The preacher segmented his message into parts, namely, the involvement of God in the affairs of man and a nation.

“We should pray to God to bear the burden of our rulers. Terrorism would be put to an end as well as the economic challenges the country is involved in.

“God can turn the tide economically, as seen in Second Kings chapter 7 verses 1-20.

“He (God) can solve national crisis overnight. We have problems, you have to be blind or deaf not to notice the problems Exodus 14 verses 1-31,” Adeboye stated.

He assured that the problems the country is currently enmeshed in could be surmounted, “If you worship me (God), don’t panic. He will prove himself. When God speaks, it is always settled for His own people,” he added.

While commenting on the Coronavirus pandemic, Adeboye revealed that snakebite deaths have doubled the number of casualties caused by COVID-19.

He said death would only occur to those whose time it is to die, stressing that in recent statistics, over 2,000 persons died as a result of snakebite.

“Divine involvement will protect the people from a pandemic, as seen in Exodus chapter 12 verses 1-36;” adding, “Coronavirus is a noisome pestilence.”
