NYSC chief warns members against unauthorized travelling

Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Suleman Kazaure, yesterday cautioned corps members serving in Edo State against unauthorized travelling.

According to him, a great number of corps members have dioed in road accidents due to unauthorized travelling.

He gave the warning while on an assessment tour to the temporary orientation camp, Okada in Ovia North East local govt area of the state.

Represented by the Acting Director, Corps Welfare and Inspectorate, Mrs Josephine Okonghae, the DG said Corps members should accept the posting to their primary place of assignments (PPAs) in good fate to settle down and contribute their quota to the development of the communities they were posted to serve.

He said they should shun unauthorized travelling to avoid road accidents as their parents having labored to train them, needed them alive.

Kazaure urged them to take permission from the authorities concerned if there is any need to travel out from their PPAs.
