Nigerian troops overpower Boko Haram terrorists in southern Borno

The evil spirit -possessed, blood -thirsty Boko Haram insurgents are on the prowl against troops of the Nigerian Army even as this story is being gathered.

Soldiers, on Friday, forced Boko Haram fighters out of the Southern part of Borno State, according to sources.

Newsmen gathered that the insurgents stormed Damboa town around 6:35 am and opened fire.

This had created tension among residents but troops reportedly engaged them in a heavy shootout, forcing them to beat retreat.

A security source told newsmen that the attackers could not stay up to 30 minutes after troops engaged them.

“I can confirm to you that Boko Haram insurgents made an attempt this morning but it was not successful, the troops on the ground in Damboa town thwarted it immediately,” the source said.
