The General Overseer of Victorious Army Ministries, Apostle Joseph Agboli, has said that lack of enabling environment was a major factor that is hindering Nigerian from functioning properly and actualising their glorious destiny as a people.
To that effect, Apostle Agboli said an altar of praise, prayer and word ministration would be raised in the Victorious Army Ministries come November 27 to December 2nd, to facilitate fulfillment of the destinies everyone to the glory of God. “Such alter is a gathering where every afflictions of life is turned to glory,” he added.
The man of God gave the insight while acquainting journalists with activities lined up for the church annual Bethel Victory Convention, at the church headquarters, Acme Road, Ikeja Lagos.
He explained: “Everybody has God’s calling upon his or her own life. God did not send you to this world just for nothing. It has a purpose and that purpose is God’s calling and God’s calling is the gift.
“He has already equipped you with a gift, he has already equipped you with the tool to help you fulfill that purpose for which you were sent to this world. It is God that gave you the tool, everybody is gifted, everybody is talented and God gave it to you.
According to Apostle Agboli, every individual, nation or a people needs the backing of God to fulfill destiny.
“There are thing you can do better than the others; that is God’s plan, that is God’s gift and that is God’s calling in your own life. God is the one that called you and you need also the backing of God to fulfill that purpose in your life. That is why the theme of the Convention is Fulfilling Your Glorious Destiny,” he said.
While responding to questions on why Nigeria as a nation has seemingly not actualize her destiny, the wife of the General Overseer, Mrs. Blessing Agboli, pointed out that leadership was a collective idea, not a one man’s idea.
Her words: “By the time we all come together and agree to function we will move this country forward. Nigerians are not dormant; they are not people without glorious destiny. But people who are at the top, who have refused to give those that will function chance to come in and function, they are the ones who have slacked down the economy of this country.”
She continued: “Nigeria is not poor, the people of Nigeria are not lazy, and we are the most intelligent people on the face of the earth. Nigerians are people who anywhere you see them in the world, you stand up for them. If they are educated, they are very educated; if they are business people they are very business minded.
“They are very industrious people; but the problem Nigeria has is the opportunity to allow our people to function. Most of the professors in Manchester, in UK are Nigerians so what is happening? Why can’t we bring them home pay them well and give them opportunity to function, because some people have hijacked this country and refused to allow people who know how to get this country right to come in and function?”
“It is not if you have glorious destiny. It is in you, when we come to the church level we help you to activate and realize it. You came into this world with it but you need someone to help you activate it with the world of God,” she said.
