Governor Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has budgeted N225.75 billion for 2020 fiscal year.

Presenting the budget to the state House of Assembly, he stated the budget was 4.5 per cent less than that of 2019.

The budget tagged “Budget of sustained Economic Growth and Social Transformation” reflected commitment to development micro-economic environment and revenue projections for next year.

He also presented the 27 LGAs budget estimates amounting to N72.8b, stressing the budget estimates would be funded through different revenue sources.

He called for the speedy passage of the budget proposal on the side of the state Assembly members.

Responding, the speaker, Idris Garba Jahun, assured Badaru of the speedy passage of the budget proposal by the end of this month.
