The Ebonyi State Government has announced the reopening of schools for primary, secondary and tertiary classes.
In a statement by the State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Onyebuchi Chima, said primary, secondary and tertiary institutions are to resume on October 5, 2020 while Nursery and Kindergarten classes would not reopen yet.
According to him, “only Primary, Secondary and tertiary institutions would reopen while nursery/crèche will not be reopening this year. There will be staggering of classes in two sessions (morning 8am- 12pm and Afternoon 12:15 – 4.15pm) in order to maintain social distancing”, he said.
Meanwhile, the State government has also frowned at the brutal murder of a herder in Ohaozara local government area of the state. Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the State, Barr Cletus Ofoke said that the state government has ordered the immediate arrest of the village head of the community and directed that the perpetrators, fished out.
