Kano State government has been commended for the promoting business activities in the state and supporting state chamber of commerce to organize forthcoming 39th edition of the Kano International trade fair, which is schedule to take place from 22 November to December 8, 2019.
The deputy president and chairman, Trade Fair Implementation Committee, Ambassador Usman Darma, gave the commendation during a press briefing.
He said Kano State Government through the office of commissioner of Agriculture, who is also the deputy Governor of the state Dr. Nasir Yusuf Gawuna, and Commissioner for Commerce, Alhaji Ahmad Rabiu, are guiding the chamber on how to organise the trade fair.
Darma said 25 countries have already registered to attend the trade fair, adding that a few of them had arrived. He added that 500 companies in the country are expected to participate at the fair.
He said they have invited many government agencies, which included Central Bank of Nigeria, to enlighten and sensitize the public on the policies they have in different sectors of economy.
Darma said they invited some consultants that will help in guiding the public on how they can access funds. He said that the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) would be there to guide business people to register their firms, adding that the National Communications Commission (NCC) and major service providers will also be there to guide on visitors on issues relating to communication.
