Suspected cultists on Monday killed three members of a rival cult group in Wurukum, a suburb of Makurdi, the Benue state capital.

Commissioner of Police in the state, Ene Okon and the Acting Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Olade, could not be reached as at the time of compiling this report.

This brings to four the number of persons slain by cultists in the area in one week, with the cultists having killed another person near the railroad tracks in Wurukum last weekend.

However, Chief Simon Tov, Kindred Head, Wurukum, who confirmed the incident to newsmen at his palace, said the cultists killed the three other persons between 7pm and 9pm on Monday night.
