The Nigeria Police Force says its investigation shows that Boko Haram, Ansaru and other terror groups are getting support from some Nigerians.

The Police in Imo State have arrested an armed robbery suspect, Maduabuchi Duru, 27.

He was arrested on May 25, at Ubomiri in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state in possession of a locally-made pistol.

The Police Spokesperson in the state, Orlando Ikeokwu, told newsmen on Thursday that the suspect was arrested by the operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the command.


He said, “On May 25, operatives of the command’s Special Anti-robbery squad based on credible intelligence arrested the suspect while trying to rob one Edith Blossom “F” of her personal belongings at Ubomiri.

“He was arrested in possession of a locally made Pistol.

“He has confessed to the crime and other crimes within and around the area. The investigation is at an advanced stage. He will be charged to court accordingly.”
