Ogun: Gunmen kill policeman, abduct four railway workers

The police command in Ekiti on Friday confirmed the killing of a police officer as gunmen allegedly abducted a Chinese expatriate in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

Gunmen have abducted four workers of a Chinese company handling the Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge railway project and killed a policeman in Ogun State.

The gunmen numbering about eight invaded Adeaga/Alaagba village in Odeda Local Government Area on Wednesday.

Newsmen gathered that the kidnappers were dressed in black caftan.

The gunmen who stormed the site of the rail project at Adeaga/Alaagba killed a policeman in the attack and whisked away the workers.

The corpse of the policeman had been evacuated by a team of policemen and men of the Federal Road Safety Corps.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi could not be reached as of the time of filing this report.
