Amotekun on trail of Eze Ndigbo’s abductors in Ondo

Commander of Ondo State Security Network also known as Amotekun, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, has disclosed that his men were also combing the forest in Ifon, Ose Local Government Area of the state in search of the abductors of Chief Donatus Okereke, the Eze Ndigbo of Ifon.

He stated that immediately the formation was contacted about the kidnap, his men had started trailing the perpetrators.

Chief Okereke, a businessman in Ifon, was reportedly abducted by some armed men at Quarry Junction and led to the forest in the early hours of Monday.

The Secretary to the Regent of Ifon, Mr Olaniyi Olotu, was reported to have said the businessman was abducted at a spot close to where a couple of months ago the monarch of the town, the Olufon of Ifon Oba Israel Adeusi, was shot by some gunmen and later died.

The Amotekun commander said, “Our men are already on the trail of the kidnappers. They gave been in the forest searching for them since yesterday morning when we learnt about the incident.”
