Ethiopian Airlines resumes Enugu flights October 1

An Ethiopian Airlines cargo plane flying into Zambia accidentally landed at an airport that is still under construction, a government official said on Monday.

Ethiopian Airlines said on Sunday it would resume its Flight to Enugu the Eastern part of Nigeria from October 1st.

The flights would be operated three times a week with B787 Dreamliner.

It would be recalled that airlines stopped flights to Enugu in 2019 when the federal government closed the Airport for the repair of the runway.

Initially, Ethiopian Airlines will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the airline’s General Manager in Nigeria, Shimeles Arage, said.

The resumption of the ET flight to Enugu would be coinciding with the October 1 Independence Day anniversary.

The GM said the flight to Enugu on that day would reinforce Ethiopian Airlines’ good relationship with Nigeria since the first flight to Nigeria in 1960.

Ethiopian Airlines operates to four Airports in Nigeria; Abuja, Lagos, Kano and Enugu.
