Zenith Bank has reiterated its commitment in supporting children and youths to positively engage technology in setting goals and having the goals met.

During the 13th edition of its annual Christmas Youth Parade, held on Sunday at the head office on Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, Peter Amangbo, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), disclosed that a nation can only be sure of a better tomorrow if the children and youths are adequately catered for and shown love.

Amangbo, said several schools across the nation have benefitted from Zenith Bank’s provision of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) centres; which he added as part of the ways in which the bank gives back to the society.

At the fun-filled event themed: “It’s Digital, It’s My Future”, which kick-started in the early hours of Sunday, Amangbo said: “…We have realised that the children and the youths are the leaders of tomorrow. I’m sure you will actually realise that we’ve done quite a lot when it comes to children and youths and we have a lot of programmes that we do.

“This is just one way probably coming out to the public to felicitate at this universe season as well to end this year to let them know that we are always with them. And we have so many programmes that we do and this is really more like a climax of what we actually do.

“We have a lot of sponsorship, we have a lot of empowerment in terms of digital and we also have other special programmess in terms of ICT centres for schools. We have over a dozen of schools now and ICT centres in some many universities across all the geopolitical zones in the country and we will continue to do this to support the children and the youths.”

Ebenezer Onyeagwu, Deputy Managing Director (DMD), of the bank, said that the event was to express love, give a sense of hope to the children and youths and serves as an opportunity to usher in Christmas.

“This programme is very unique because the target is on the youths. The whole essence is to provide source of encouragement and a platform for the youths to have higher aspirations.

“What we are trying to let the children know, is that; they are the leaders of tomorrow and as long as they are hard working, committed and disciplined, they are the ones who will take over from us as the leadership of this organisation and the country in general.

Tope Fasoranti, Executive Director, Zenith Bank, also noted that there is no future for any organisation or nation without the children or youths.

“The soul of society is in the way children are treated. This is why we make all the sacrifices to let them know they are our tomorrow,” he said.

Mayekun, Falz and Kaffy thrill spiked excitement amidst the children and the adults at the event.

Also several schools and non-governmental organisations were invited to partake in the games, dance, parade and gifts.
